Scope of the conference
EUROLOGO is a biannual scientific international conference that addresses all scientists, developers and educators that develop, use or study all kinds of Logo or Logo-based software. Furthermore also investigations of other exploratory computational environments, classroom applications of Logo philosophy and other innovative educational research and practices that are in touch with the Logo approach are covered.
EUROLOGO 2001 will be held in Linz, Austria from 21-25 August 2001. The conference will carry on the work of the previous ones in Dublin (1987), Gent (1989), Parma (1991), Anavissos (1993), Birmingham (1995), Budapest (1997) and Sofia (1999).

Scientific Papers will be reviewed by at least 3 independent reviewers of the Eurologo Program Committee.
Tutorials
On Tuesday August 21, 2001 there will be held several half-day tutorials. The tutorial fee is included in the conference fee. There is also a tutorial-only fee for teachers that do not attend the conference (80 Euro). According to the limited number of PCs there will be a limit to the number of participants per tutorial. Registration of tutorials is on a first come first serve basis only after payment of the registration fee.

Conference venue
Linz is a small town at the side of the Danube not more than two hours away from Vienna. As one of the main cities of Austria, Linz is a center of education, industry and commerce. Tradition and New Technologies meet in Linz (www.anto.com/linz.html).
The conference will take place at the campus of the "Paedagogische Akademie der Dioezese Linz - Teacher Training College" that is situated at the slope of one of the smaller hills of Linz. The College provides excellent conference facilities and a student house for accommodation at reasonable costs.

Reduced fee for early registration (until June 15, 2001), teachers, students and OCG members.
The conference fee includes the conference proceedings, the conference participation, coffee, lunches and official social conference events. The fee for accompanying persons includes the meals and participation in all official social events.
The registration fees are payable in such a way that the full fee receives at the conference account.
